Hey friends.
Bad news: this weekend Thomas and I broke up. I debated not putting the comic book up for sale in light of this, but regardless I am still very proud of it and wouldn't mind making a few (literally) bucks off of it. I honestly made it more for me than I did for him, so there. :P
(I also considered adding a few pages, but I don't think 2 days after the fact is a good time to do such a thing... and I really don't know how I'd make it fit the story.)
I'm glad I wrote the comic book version more of a cohesive story than in reality, so it can stand on it's own. Maybe someday when I'm bored (and a little more distanced from the situation) I'll write a sequel. But maybe not. Whatever.
I want to thank all my wonderful friends who have called and/or text me these past couple days. You guys are the bestest friends anyone could ever ask for. And I will be taking you up on the offers of drinks. :)
So here's where you can buy the book: http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/hero-boy/15167840
I do suggest getting it in physical copy because it's a far better experience actually turning the pages - I had page-to-page format in mind when I made it. (And I'm not just saying that because it's more expensive. I get a very, very small slice of that pie.)
So thanks for all the love. Ben and I are actually starting the strip we've been talking about for a long time. Hopefully it'll be up in a few months... but considering how long it took me to do the comic book, expect Christmas time. :D
Proud of you, my girl, for moving ahead with your comic book. You spent a boatload of hours on that and others deserve to see it in print.
