Buy art. Beat cancer. Win-Win.

Well, beating cancer might be an exaggeration, but here's the deal...

A couple months ago Ben, my brother for those of you uninformed, asked me to make a painting to turn into thank you cards to send to those who have donated to OCI (his employer) this past year. You see, for you dear uninformed or not-updated folks, my brother Ben has cancer. He's had it for almost 5 years, and it's been quite the roller coaster of suckiness. BUT God is good and is doing things through it. And although God is faithful and doesn't leave us to deal with things by ourselves, we still pray desperately for Him to heal Ben. Anyway, Ben is an IT dude for OCI, a missions organization and therefore a non-profit. Because of Ben's intense cancer treatments, OCI's budget has been completely blown, by some huge number like 25% or something. So Ben put out a plea for people to donate to OCI to help cover their extra costs. Therefore: thank you cards.

That was really the worst way to tell that story. Moving on.

So this painting is a fun one. I had a good time painting it, as it had been a while since I had a reason to finish a painting. And it got really good response on Facebook and Twitter, so instead of setting a price and letting someone buy it, I figured I'd put it up on eBay and let everyone fight over it.
