Getting back in the groove...

I sat down to draw tonight and felt like I was taking the first steps on a newly healed broken leg. Terrified, confident I still know how to, but scared it would hurt. (I've never broken my leg, but I do have a very active imagination...)

I didn't get around to drawing any comics tonight, but I made one very important step - I drew something. ANYTHING. Starting is hard (as you can tell if you've read this blog at all). Re-starting is harder. I haven't drawn in months and I feel sick about it. I desperately want to be producing a massive amount of work, so instead of making excuses and ho-humming about my life (which is pretty awesome, by the way. God has really blessed me.) I am going to just do.

So while Fringe was on TV (love that show) I opened up photo booth and drew a self portrait. Here you go: my first re-start.

Also in the vein of re-starting, I want to do a little website refresh. Blogger has updated and they have some better templates. So hopefully that will happen soon.

I'm listening to snoring dogs (I'm dog sitting for the weekend) which makes me want to hit the sheets. Off to bed - tomorrow brings a service project with the high school group, going for a run, and even more re-starting. Weeeee!!!!
