Aaaaaand WE'RE BACK!

I'll admit, I cheated on the above drawing. I took photo booth pictures and then drew over them. But whatever, you get the point. It took a total of about 10 minutes, so it was effective as I was scrambling for an image for today's blog. Which brings me to...

I finished the logo I've been working on, but he hasn't gotten the site up and running yet so I'll post it when he does. I had a good time going back and forth trying to figure out the li'l guy. Vampire Brains are funny.

Yes, Friday I took a little respite, not because I completely forgot it was Friday and couldn't think of what to draw or write (yeah, that totally wasn't it....) but because.... uh, yeah I got nothing. I was in Bellingham, then Saturday Thomas got really sick yet somehow made it out of the vomit haze just in time to hit the stage for that night's performance. That day was spent forcing liquids down him so blogging wasn't really on my mind. I hope y'all will forgive me.

Also! The site is back up in working order at the normal url: fledglingcomics.com!!! So you can pass that url on to your friends (hint hint) or resubscribe to RSS or whatnot.

Also also! I'll be setting up a portfolio page here in the next few days, so if someone you know needs some design and/or illustration work you can give them my web address. If someone wants pet portraits or fine art, send them to ejmorrell.com. You guys are the bestest.

Related, I've been getting a fair amount of commission work, which is really exciting. I want to thank everyone who believes in me and my artistic skill enough to pay me for it - it really means a lot to me. Sometimes I can't believe I'm getting paid to sit on the couch drawing...it's a dream come true! (Of course that means the comic book, of which I have only a few pages left to do, is put on hold until the paying work is finished.)

On that note -- time to get to work!
